L Satya Srinivas appointed as CEO of Government e-Marketplace

 

The Centre has entrusted the charge of GeM CEO to L Satya Srinivas, an Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce, Government of India and an IRS officer (Customs & Indirect Taxes) off 1991 batch. Apart from heading Trade Intelligence & Analytics and Special Economic Zones for Department of Commerce of India Srinivas is the Chief Negotiator for India’s FTAs with EU & UK.

In the statement made by GeM, the organisation said that “Shri Srinivas is perfectly suited to steer GeM to the new growth phase and success paradigm, let alone his understanding and enthusiasm for the innovation.”

After of offer former GeM CEO Prashant Kumar Singh for the Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
