L Satya Srinivas Gets Additional Charge as Ceo of Public Procurement Portal Gem

 

The public procurement platform of the Indian government has recently passed the post of the CEO GeM to L Satya Srinivas who is currently an Additional Secretary for the Department of Commerce in the country.

New Delhi: The CEO position of the public procurement platform GeM has been delegated by the government to L Satya Srinivas, Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce.

The extra charge was imposed because P K Singh the former CEO of GeM Government e Marketplace has been appointed as the secretary in the ministry of renewable energy.

Srinivas is an officer of the 1991-batch of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes).

This was after the GeM site was launched on August 9, 2016 for the utilization by all central government ministries and departments to order products and services online.
